2 hikes from Summit Parking Lot (at The Hump) on hwy 532 (gravel road) SW in Livingstone area SW of Longview. Hailstone Butte is a rough trail with 2 routes (easier scree or steeper rockbands) 3km, 340m (Daffern 5-74A) Windy Peak Hills ( Daffern 5-75) is a group of small open grassy ridges 9km 680m

Trailhead is at Chester Parking Lot. There is a new bridge, upstream of the old one, where “Snowdrift” snowshoe trail crosses Headwall Creek. Steep but short side slope before first lake Daffern V1 – 94

Recommended the route be done counter-clockwise. Drop off and pick up: Chester Lake parking lot

Start from Sunshine access road

Walk along biking trail to the Cave and Basin from Sunshine Parking and then continue on to the Train station.
