From top of Standish Chair. Relating to Sunshine Meadows map:
2 Standish Viewing deck loop, down to route 3 at the Twin Cairns Junction. Go right along route 5 to the Monarch Lookout trail till a T intersection (with directional signs in the All Trails photos). Very little elevation, open walking above the tree line and obvious designated trail to follow.Turn left to the look out into Shadow Lake Valley, a short distance, return to T intersection and continue down along the Meadow Park Trail route 6 to the parking lot at Sunshine Lodge. Route 6 is all downhill.
