Merlin View to #2 Lookout, 10km, 400m

Route: Braggin’ Rights to start of Merlin View Trail (1 hr, moderate B1 speed), up east (right) side of Merlin Loop to stone “coffee table” lookout (additional 30 minutes moderate B1 speed). Return same way. If time permits, Merlin View lookout (#3 on attached map) is about 30 minutes further and about 50m additional uphill.

Mesa Butte – Curley Sand Loop – 10km 470m

Nice forest trail, then steeper ascent on open hillside to top of butte. Go up clockwise. Can return on other side of butte and down into the valley, but this is often very muddy. Mesa Butte is sometimes referred to as Square Butte. Daffern V4 – 64

Moraine Lake Shoreline Trail 3.7km 100m

Features gorgeous views of the bright blue water of the iconic Moraine Lake and snow-capped mountain peaks all around. The trail is partially boardwalk and partially packed dirt. Most of the trail has a grade less than 5% but the steepest sections have up to a 15% grade.
