Starts from Bob Creek recreation area. Lovely open, wide ridge with views of Rockies and foothills. Great in flower season – lots of Balsam Root and 50 other flowers counted on hike June 6, 2024. Suitable for B2 hikers, and B1’s who want to enjoy the flowers. Approx. hiking time 4 hours, but add extra for picture taking and lunch. Barbed wire fence about 1 km from end of ridge; if you stop there, it is only about 7km return.
Drop off and pick up: A7 ranch road along north side of the Old Man River to a small clearing beside Bob Creek.
