Similar to Daffern 4th edition, Volume 4, hikes 3, 3.1, 3.2
This hike starts at Sandy McNabb recreation area, connects to an unofficial trail up Sandy McNabb Hill (several small bumps, then down through woods to gap in the fence and cross to go up the east hill of the group. Drop off the northeast end of that hill and follow a faint trail down, branching to the right, into Long Prairie Meadow. Follow that to a crossing of Long Prairie Creek, at High Noon Hills, then return to Sheep Park Station. Get to Sheep Park Station by crossing the highway to the start of the Macabee Loop trail on the north side, near Arctic Hill, about 0.2km west; can go over Arctic Hill or around it on Macabee Loop – longer, but avoids the climb. A or strong B1 hike; best with someone who knows the area as trails are not well marked.
The map below does NOT show the route to for this hike, but a similar one that does a loop, only going as far east as the eastmost hill of Sandy McNabb hills.
