Notes about the options:

Snowshoeing or walking with icers. (New option added.)

Option 1 is an extended trip that starts at WWL by going along the Lower Lake Trail via the Marsh Loop and then across the dam to the High Rockies Trail. After going along the High Rockies Trail as far as desired, return and go around the Penstock Loop and then to Pocaterra Hut via Tailwater. (Sounding Lake is only accessible by ski trails which are off-limits to Snowshoers, so it is not an option.)

Option 2 goes from WWL via the Lower Lake Trail, Penstock and Tailwater to Pocaterra.

Option 3 starts at the Discovery Centre and proceeds to WWL via Canyon, LL trail and Marsh Loop. There is the option of going out after lunch to explore trails adjacent to the Lodge.

Option 7 starts at the Upper Lake Parking Lot and goes to Elk Pass and then back to the parking lot. If 4 or more people sign up for this trip the bus will remain at the Upper Lake Parking Lot for the day.

Skiing Options as of Feb 9.

Option 4 is to ski from the Upper Lake over Elk Pass and then down Tyrwhit and Pocaterra to Lynx. Over Lynx to Amos, then to WWL via Amos. It would be possible to extend this by skiing Wooley and then Meadow to WWL.

Option 5 also begins at the Upper Lake but goes directly to WWL via Moraine to Wheeler and the WWL connector to the Lodge. Additional trails could be skied around the Lodge after lunch.

If you wish to ski to Elk Pass and back to the bus please let the Day Leader know.

Option 6 is to ski from WWL on trails of choice.

Biffy Break – WWL or the Discovery Centre if starting from there.

Bus Fare $25 Bus cancelled if less than 35 registered on the bus. Registration begins the Friday before and ends at 6:00pm on Tuesday before the hike. Cancellations after 6 pm on Tuesday will be NO-SHOWS and will have to pay the Bus Fare.
