Due to the uncertainties of weather and snow conditions, winter trip destinations are often set just a week or two before the outing. They of course are subject to change based on conditions.

Bus pick up is at Montgomery Community Centre Parking Lot.  Bus departs at 8am sharp.

Biffy Break – William Watson Lodge

Drop-offs – William Watson Lodge, Chester Lake PL (bus will stay there)

Pickup points – Chester Lake PL, WWL, Pocaterra Hut

Bus Fare is $25.

The bus will be cancelled if there are fewer than 40 registrations. Registration begins on Thursday, Feb 27 at 6pm and ends at 6pm on Tuesday, Mar 4th. Cancellations after 6pm on Tuesday will remain responsible for the Bus Fare.

Please contact the Day Leader to volunteer to lead a option or to request a specific option.

Bear Spray, poles, skis and snowshoes MUST be stored under the bus. There is a box for Bear Spray in one of the bins. It is important that all gear should be labelled with your name.

If you wish to join the outing, but drive yourself to the trailhead, please register with your choice of activity AND email the bus coordinator to ask them to move you to the ‘Car’ list.

Be prepared. It is your responsibility to come with food, water, and appropriate clothing and gear, with allowance for changes in the weather. 

Skiers: Skiers will be picked up at EITHER William Watson Lodge or Pocaterra Hut.

Snowshoers: Burstall Pass includes a short Avalanche slope section. Check with the Discovery Centre to determine the current conditions.
