Bus Fare $25 plus $10 if you don’t have a National Park Pass.
The bus will be cancelled if less than 45 are registered on Bus.
Bus pick up is at Montgomery Community Centre Parking Lot. Bus departs from Montgomery at 8:00 am sharp.
Limit of 55 people for the bus – priority will be given to Evergreens Members over guests.
Biffy Break – at the Banff Bus Station
Dropoffs at the Banff Bus Station, Stanley Glacier and Boom Lake. Pickups at Boom Lake, Stanley Glacier and Banff Bus Station. Bus will stay at Boom Lake.
Please check weather forecast to ensure you are dressed appropriately!
Will allow approx. 5 hours hiking time for Stanley Glacier hikes.
Hike options:
A– Stanley Glacier trail loop to Bench 12km 600m (latter part of trail is rocky, with potential to return on boulder section)
B1– Stanley Glacier trail loop to Bench 12km 600m afatp (latter part of trail is rocky)
B2 – Stanley Glacier trail 8.4km 365m
B2 – Boom Lake 10.3km 175m/ 11km +/- 230m
C –Banff townsite trails NB Only one hike was entered below however hikers can choose whichever hike they want within the Banff Townsite area
Please contact the Day Leader to volunteer to lead a hike or to request a specific hike in the area.
Bear spray MUST be stored under the bus, preferably labelled. There is a box for Bear Spray in one of the bins.
If you wish to join the outing, but drive yourself to the trailhead, please register with your choice of activity AND email the bus coordinator to ask them to move you to the ‘Car’ list.
