Participants to drive themselves to Sheep River Park Office. Get there in time to start hiking at 9:30 am.
Sheep River Park Office is 19 km west of Turner Valley on north side of highway 546 (3km west of K Country boundary). Google maps indicates the drive is 15 minutes, from Turner Valley.
Hike will be up and down various ridges starting from Sheep River Park Headquarters. For those with maps and navigation interest, ridges traversed will be Long Prairie, Unnamed, Pine Ridge, and Macabee Ridge (Arctic Hill is optional extra 50m climb) approximately 12km, 425m cumulative climb. The hike is probably 4-1/2 to 5 hours duration.
