This event is for B1 level hikers. Limit of 10 participants.
Meet at Upper Bankhead parking, along Lake Minnewanka road in Banff at 9:15 am (approx. 1.25 hr drive from Montgomery) in time to start hiking at 9:30am. Pit toilets at trail head.
Approx. 12km return, 700m climb – quite steep sections at the higher elevation. Some may wish to stop at the cirque at about 4 km and 455 m elevation gain. Others will continue up the steeper, less used trail to an even higher vantage point.
Bring radio and bear spray if you have them. Don’t forget your Park Pass!
