This event is for B1 level hikers. Limit of 10 participants.
Participants to drive themselves to Lusk Pass Parking on Powderface Road (10.7km south from Sibbald Creek Trail – Hwy 68, and about 7km south of Dawson Day Use ), in the Sibbald area; if you reach the Jumpingpound Bridge, you have gone about 50m too far! Get there in time to start hiking at 9:30 am. Note: there is no biffy at the trailhead; closest is at Dawson Recreation Area.
15km, approx. 700m climb. Will go up and back the same way. May have to step aside for some bikes on the trail as the route is popular with cyclists.
Expect great mountain views and fields of wildflowers on this long, broad ridge.
Bring radio and bear spray if you have them. Watch out for potholes on Sibbald Creek Trail and Powderface Trail!
