This event is for B1 level hikers. Limit of 10 participants.
Participants to meet at Montgomery Parking Lot.
Get there by 8:15, in time to departure by convoy at 8:30 am.
Trailhead is on the Powderface Trail 15 km South of Highway 68. It’s a beautiful hike to the top and then further along a wide open ridge as far as you wish. Wildflowers are exceptional right now.
Approx. 6km, 470m climb.
Note: Vehicles will travel along a narrow, rough and dusty logging type road. There do not appear to be logging trucks on the road currently.
Bring radio and bear spray if you have them.
Our hikes will align with Alberta Health COVID-19 recommendations, which change occasionally, but can be found at: https://www.alberta.ca/coronavirus-info-for-albertans.aspx ; Alberta Parks Guidance related COVID-19 can be found at: https://albertaparks.ca/albertaparksca/news-events/response-to-covid-19/
