Yes this is for THURSDAY! Meet before 10 a.m. at the Carburn Park parking lot to sign in. $2 donation suggested. Washrooms at trailhead. Plan for 1 1/2-2 hrs.
From Glenmore Trail take 18 St. S.E. exit and travel south. Note the brown sign for Carburn Park on the right and turn onto Rivervalley Dr. S.E. Turn left at the next Carburn park sign onto Riverview Dr. S.E. and look for the metal gates on the right leading into the Carburn Park vehicle parking.
Find me by my old dark green Toyota Camray to sign in.
Note: Anyone coming along Sarcee and Glenmore trail, traffic is quite slow, down to one lane each direction due to construction. It took me 15 minutes from 37 St. S.W. to Crowchild Trail on Saturday, Aug 17.
Hike will be around Carburn Park on the paved and gravel trails with option to Beaverdam Flats to the North partially in the river valley and partially on the escarpment. Bring your binoculars if into bird watching. North of Carburn Park, pelicans were on the water, gulls, ducks, osprey, etc.
