This is not the Douglas fir trail near Edworthy park, instead, the Douglas Fir tree sanctuary is located to the west and south of Bowness Park. The hike will start at the Baker Park parking lot. To get there, take the Scenic Bow Road offramp north of the Bowness bridge. Turn left and stay left. The entrance is a few hundred meters up the road.
