• If you wish to request a hike or lead a hike, please contact the Day Leader.
Registration:
• Begins at 6 PM on the Thursday preceding the trip and ends at 6 PM on the Tuesday before the trip.
• Cancellations after 6 PM on Tuesday will have to have to pay the Bus Fare.
• Please choose an activity option before pressing ‘Register’.
• If you wish to drive to the trailhead, please register with your choice of activity AND email the bus coordinator to ask them to move you to the ‘Car’ list.
• The bus will be cancelled if there are fewer than 35 registrations.
Please note all trips are subject to change as necessary.
Check the weather forecast to ensure you are dressed appropriately. Icers may be beneficial.
BE AWARE THAT JULY IS TICK SEASON! Gaiters help keep ticks from accessing you.
Bear Spray and hiking poles: MUST be stored under the bus. Please label any Bear Spray and hiking poles with your name. There is a box for Bear Spray in one of the bins.
Hike Option Notes:
A, B1 – Castle Lookout – unfortunately there are still reports of snow & ice at Rockbound Lake.
B2 – Castle Lookout – as above. You have more elevation than B2s might usually do, but you’ve got lots of time so you can just go at a leisurely pace.
C – Banff Townsite – Fenland area reported as flooded but the rest of the area around town is good for hiking.
