Day Leader – Carolyn Ardell

Bus Coordinator: Carolyn Ardell, ardell5@telusplanet.net 403-660-1825

Emerald Lake has snow and the weather forecast shows some snow every day this next week with temperatures about zero (+1 high and -5 Wednesday and Thursday) and total snow Tuesday to Thursday of 10 mm. Parks Canada doesn’t do the track setting: it is done by volunteers: Kicking Horse Ski Club and it has been a few weeks since there were any posted reports. There is a live web camera set up by Emerald Lake resort https://crmr.com/resorts/emerald-lake/lodge-cam/ with picture renewed approximately every 10 minutes.

Snowshoe conditions look good. Bring your snowshoes and not just rely on your boots and ice grippers depending and your choice of trip. Spikes/traction devices are recommended if you you intend to walk rather than ski  or snowshoe.

Remember BC COVID restrictions will be in force at the usual hang out at Emerald Lake lodge.  Bring your COVID QR code, your picture ID and money.

Bus Fare $20:  Bus will be cancelled if less than 30 register for the Bus

Cancellations after 6 pm on Tuesday will be NO-SHOWS and will have to pay the Bus Fare.

Bus departing from Montgomery only at 8:00 AM

Limit of 55 people on Bus – priority will be given to Evergreens Members over guests.

BB – Field Visitor Centre

Will allow approx. 4.5 hours of ski/snowshoe/hiking time. Bus dropoffs: Natural Bridge and Emerald lake Parking. Pick-ups at Emerald lake Parking.

***Note: an up to date National Park Pass is required – do check your website profile to be sure your Park Pass information displays. (or pay $10 extra if you do  not have a pass).
