Parks Canada issued a bear warning on Sat May 17 for the Lake Minnewanka Trail advising of a mother bear and offspring.  Here is a link to the warning:

https://parks.canada.ca/pn-np/ab/banff/bulletins/a1baf653-b4bf-4a4b-b009-5fde6794cd2a

We have spoken with Parks Canada.  The warning still stands but the trail is open.  Anyone with bear spray is encouraged to carry it on Thursday and we will strictly comply staying in a group with a minimum of 4 hikers.
