As of Saturday afternoon, the trail conditions for Tuesday’s hike can best be described as spring-like: 40% bare and clean pavement, 40% covered with packed or soft snow and the rest icy spots and slushy snow. Conditions could change, in particular ice could form if snow melts during the day and freezes at night. Track devices are recommended. We will go up and down the escarpment 2 ½ times along different routes.
Park on the parking lot at the north end of Riley Park close to the wading pool and the cricket centre. To get there, take 8th Avenue east and, just before the barricade at the end, turn south (right) onto the parking lot.
