This is a B hike with several ups and downs on narrow, slippery and rooted trails with creek crossings on single planks. Poles and sturdy footwear are recommended. Parking is on the streets around the Valley Pointe playground near the intersection of Valley Ridge Drive NW and Valley Pointe Way NW. From the Trans Canada Highway take the exit Valley Ridge Boulevard. At the roundabout follow Valley Ridge Boulevard and turn left at the stop sign after the traffic lights onto Valley Ridge Drive. Follow it until you reach the playground near the top.
