Please contact Day Leader to volunteer to lead a hike. If you have an alternative trip to propose please contact the Day Leader to suggest. They are happy to try and accommodate.

Expecting -5 to -15C weather with some snow Wednesday and Thursday. Skiing may be possible. You will be alerted before the trip if there are suitable skiing conditions.

Proposed Skiing from the Upper Lake to Elk Pass – there are several options that can be added on – Ski Blueberry for the faster skiers or ski along Tyrwhitt.

Skiing from William Watson Lodge – we can make several options for 12 to 16 km loops to accommodate B2 and B1 skiers. A B2 route could be Amos-Lynx-Pocaterra-Meadow-back to WWL or Pocaterra Hut.

Snowshoeing options can be modified depending on the group and the leader. Here is some additional information for the snowshoers.

Everyone not skiing should bring snowshoes and skiers should bring snowshoes as a backup. There may be fresh on top of frozen and hard packed trails so snowshoes may not be need but bring them. If snowshoes are not needed they can be left with the bus. is lots of new snow and you do not want to damage the trails by sinking in with your boots.

Torpor/Frozen Toad – suggestion is to SS Torpor east side /anti-clockwise (under power line) and then from Bolton, Frozen Toad west side / clockwise. If people have time and energy they could SS to the Visitor Centre for an additional 5 Km and 155m EG. (If needed the bus will pick up at the Visitor Centre.)

Frozen Toad – suggestion is to SS to Marl Lake and then do the Frozen Toad Loop back to WWL.

WWL to Marl Lake as a loop is 4.1 Km, Marsh Lake is 2 Km and 50 m EG from WWL.
