Day Leader – Gerrit Voordouw

Bus Coordinator: Carolyn Ardell, ardell5@telusplanet.net 403-660-1825

West Bragg Creek had plenty of snow and a number of trails have been rolled and track set and most trails have been cleared of trees. Snowshoe conditions look good with most trails suitable for just icers but as of 30Dec2021 some ‘snowshoe’ trails were untracked and not all trees had been cleared. Bring your snowshoes and ice grippers. Distances and EG to be confirmed.

Weather forecast shows some snow on Thursday with negative temperatures all week, highs of -19 . For skiers, track conditions are shown on https://skierroger.ca/index.php?content=showski&id=516

Current plan is Biffy Break at West Bragg Creek trailhead. Trips will be finalized after 6 pm Tuesday when we see who has signed up.

Remember COVID restrictions will be in force and warm up hut was closed with information provided through a window.

Bus Fare $20; Bus cancelled if less than 30 registered on Bus.

Cancellations after 6 pm on Tuesday will be NO-SHOWS and will have to pay the Bus Fare.

Bus departing from Montgomery only at 8:00 AM.

Limit of 55 people on Bus – priority will be given to Evergreens Members over guests.

BB – West Bragg Creek.

Will allow approx. 5 hours of ski/snowshoe/hiking time.

***Note: Park Pass not required for this trip if you go by Bus but otherwise you require the Kananaskis Conservation Pass.

Spikes/traction devices are recommended if you you intend to walk rather than ski  or snowshoe.
