Due to the uncertainties of weather and snow conditions, winter trip destinations are often set just a week or two before the outing. They of course are subject to change based on conditions.

Options:

Skiers: – options may change on the bus at the discretion of Group Leaders depending on snow conditions

  1. A/B1 – From the Chateau go up Fairview to Moraine Lake Road then ski down the Tramline to the bridge. Next stay on the south side of the River and ski along the River, cross the road to ski through the Campground and all the way to the last bridge over the River, then back the other shore line to the Village. Overall, this is a ‘Blue’ signed ski meaning it’s a moderately difficult ski.
  2. 2. A/B1 From the Village ski along the River, and up across the TC Highway on the bridge provided for skiers. Then do the outer loop in a counter clockwise direction. Maybe do a short detour to Mud Lake for spectacular view of Mount Temple. Maybe take Merlin down. Lots of options for a great day.
  3. B2 – As for ski trip 2 above but not doing the outer loop. This group will do a shorter inner loop with less elevation. Group can also do Mud Lake. This group can likely get back to the Village with time to visit the Hostel for coffee, beer, soup, and/or ski the Bow River Loop.
  4. C – From the Chateau, ski down the Tramline and do as in Ski trip 1 above – minus Fairview of course! You will have time to get back to the Village or Hostel for coffee etc.
