Due to the uncertainties of weather and snow conditions, winter trip destinations are often set just a week or two before the outing. They of course are subject to change based on conditions.

Bus pick up is at Montgomery Community Centre Parking Lot.  Bus departs at 8:00 am sharp.

Biffy Break – Mount Kidd RV Park

Drop-offs – William Watson Lodge, Upper Lake PL (bus will stay there)

Pickup points – Upper Lake PL, WWL

Bus Fare is $25.

The bus will be cancelled if there are fewer than 40 registrations. Registration begins on Thursday, Dec 26 at 6pm and ends at 6pm on  Tuesday, Dec 31st. Persons cancelling after 6pm on Tuesday will be responsible for the Bus Fare.

Please contact the Day Leader to volunteer to lead a option or to request a specific option.

Bear Spray, poles, skis and snowshoes MUST be stored under the bus. There is a box for Bear Spray in one of the bins. It is important that all gear should be labelled with your name.

If you wish to join the outing, but drive yourself to the trailhead, please register with your choice of activity AND email the bus coordinator to ask them to move you to the ‘Car’ list.

Be prepared. It is your responsibility to come with food, water, and appropriate clothing and gear, with allowance for changes in the weather. 

Skiers: Conditions are good at the Elk Pass end of the Park. The conditions on the lower slopes less so, although they are groomed and track set. We’ll see closer to the date.

4ASnowshoe - Upper Lake, Torpor, Bolton, Frozen Toad (E), WWL 10.3 km 350 m EG plus  Marsh Loop 1.8 km, 50 m EG
5B1Snowshoe - Upper Lake, Torpor, Frozen Toad (W) to WWL 10 km, 300 m 
6B2Snowshoe - WWL, Lake Shore, Barrier Dam and return 6.5 km 150m EG 
7CSnowshoe - WWL, around Elkwood Campground and Marsh Loop, return to WWL
