Hikes:

1. A – up South Baldy Peak – Keith Bagnall had lots of experience on this one and will get everyone up and down safely.  Note that it does have some scramble required meaning you need to use your hands to hold on and pull yourself along in places. Bring gloves and icers.

2. B1 – Midnight peak  – Greg had done this one before. It’s a typical B1 hike up to the base of the last ascent to the top.  Then it’s a steep climb over big rocks. Most of us will stop before the last ascent while others may want to push on to the top. Bring gloves for this stretch too. Bring icers. Great views!

3. B2 – Baldy Pass – this is a typical Kananaskis climb to the top of the pass where you can look east and down into the Lusk Creek and Powderface area. Great views the other way too of the Kananaskis Valley. Bring icers.  It’s a big group and will divide into:

B2 faster lead by Kathy Gibson

B2 moderate led by Lisa Dempster

B2 leisurely led by Hugh

4. C – Porcupine Creek – hike from Baldy Pass trailhead towards the Wasootch Ridge trailhead but divert up Porcupine Creek along the way. You may see climbers practicing on a cliff face along the way.  Patricia and Gary Kerr will lead.

Please contact the Day Leader to volunteer to lead a hike or to request a specific hike.
