9:15 AM – Meet at the Rosemont Community Centre (2807 – 10 St NW)
9:30 AM – Join a variety of walks ( approx. 2 hours hiking time):
1. A/B1 – Chris Spence lives nearby and will lead a vigorous walk west through Confederation Park and onto Canmore Park before returning through the neighbourhoods.
2. B2/C – Joan and John McLean also live nearby and will lead a less vigorous walk through the Park and neighbourhoods.
3. A/B1/B2/C – Greg leads a History walk through Confederation Park and nearby Queens Park Cemetery. (He’s got some dynamite new material!)
4. A/B/C – Only attend the AGM and not hike that day.
Guests are welcome to hike with us but can’t stay for the AGM due to limited seating capacity.
11:00 AM – Volunteers set up chairs and head table
11:45 AM : Sign in begins
12:00 Noon – AGM begins
Note: this is a BYO lunch and beverage. We will eat our own bag lunch while participating in the AGM. Bring some indoor shoes please as we will need to remove our footwear at the door.
2:00 PM – AGM adjourns – everyone helps put away chairs and tables, sweep the floor etc.
Biffy Break – No biffies until noon for most hikes. Limit your coffee intake! Community Centre not open until noon.
(There is limited biffy for those doing the Cemetery hike.)
