Biffy Break – William Watson Lodge

Bus Fare is $25. Bus cancelled if less than 35 are registered for the Bus.  Cancellations after 6 pm on Tuesday will be regarded as NO-SHOWS and will have to pay the Bus Fare.

Please contact Day Leader to volunteer to lead a hike. If you have an alternative trip to propose please contact the Day Leader to suggest. They are happy to try and accommodate.

Weather Forecast is for highs of -2C through Thursday with the possibilities of flurries on the weekend. It will likely be a bit cooler at the south end of the park. The flurries should refresh the snow cover for both skiers and snowshoers.

Notes on proposed activities:

Skiing from the Upper Lake to Elk Pass – there are several options that can be added on – Ski Blueberry for the faster skiers or ski along Tyrwhitt.

Skiing from William Watson Lodge – there are several options for extending your ski.

Snowshoeing options can be modified depending on the group and the leader. Here is some additional information for the snowshoers.

Torpor/Frozen Toad – suggestion is to SS Torpor east side /anti-clockwise (under power line) and then from Bolton, Frozen Toad west side / clockwise. If people have time and energy they could SS to the Visitor Centre for an additional 5 Km and 155m EG. (If needed the bus will pick up at the Visitor Centre.)

Frozen Toad – suggestion is to SS to Marl Lake and then do the Frozen Toad Loop back to WWL.

WWL to Marl Lake as a loop is 4.1 Km, Marsh Lake is 2 Km and 50 m EG from WWL.
